Worship Method Lord Ganesha

It is a well that Lord Ganesha is worshiped first among all Deity. He is worshiped by devotees not only in big shrines but also in small street temples and simply beneath the trees. No complex worship is required to satisfy Lord Ganesha. A form can be used to Him in a moment by a devotee at the moment of devotion. One need his idol, picture to worship. In Past, Lord Ganesha was worshipped on Ganesh Chaturthi with simple substances like cow dung, turmeric and clay which are considered to be very auspicious.

The worship done by five kinds of offerings known as Pancha Upacharas.
These are Gandha, Dhupa, Deepa, Naivedyam and Pushparchana

Gandha means fragrance of white or red Sandalwood paste
Dhupa means lighting of incense sticks, Agarbati, Dhup
Deepa means lighting of oil lamps, Diya of ghee
Naivedyam means offerings of fruits and sweets
Pushparchana means offering of flowers

while offering flowers and garlands Pushparchana , Chant Mantra is spokne for Lord Ganesha when you offered the fruits to the deity, coconut is regarded as one of the most significant fruits. It indicates the head of the worshipper is respectfully submitted to the Lord Ganesha. The breaking of the coconut symbolizes the breaking of self-esteem and evil or unwanted qualities of the devotee.

The Pancha Upacharas signifies the Pancha Bhutas and the five types of offerings have different indications.These are Akasa (Sky), Vaayu (Air), Teja (Fire), Apam (Water) and Prithvi (Earth). The offering of fragrance and water denotes the earth, the lamps or Deepa represents fire, the incense sticks signifies the air and the flowers denote the sky. Panchabhutas like flowers represent the sky, the incense sticks denote the air, the oil lamps correspond with the fire, the offerings with the water and the fragrance denotes the earth.
 Devotee must use integration of Swasti (Swastika) with Lord Ganesha during Puja . Swastika has his own power in Vedas with every God . 

16 Steps to Worship Lord Ganesha

1) Aavahanam-The Lord Ganesha is invited to come and participate in the ceremony
2) Aasanaam-Appropriate and comfortable seating arrangements are made for the Lord Ganesha.
3) Aavahanam-The Lord Ganesha is invited to come and partake in the ceremony and celebrations.
4) Aasanaam-Appropriate and comfortable seating arrangements are made for the Lord Ganesha.
5) Paadyam-Special foot Bath is offered in which, His feet are bathed with fragrant water sprinkled with rose petals and wiped with Silk towels.
6) Arghyaam-Specially prepared cool, scented water is served to quench His thirst.
7) Aachamaneeyam-This ritual involves sipping water from the palm before commencing the worship for internal purification by the priest and the people participating in the ceremony.
8) Snaanaam-The Lord Ganesha is bathed with water which has been purified with mantras , Water by holy river such as Ganga, yamuna etc , Milk, Curd (Yoghurt), Ghee (Clarified Butter), Honey and Sugar. This mixture is known as Panchaamrit (Pancha-Five, Amrit-Ambrosia, Nectar).
9) Vastram-He is dressed in brightly-colored, soft, silk clothes consisting of a Dhoti and Anga Vastra.
10) Yagyopaveetam-The Sacred Thread (Janeou) is placed across His shoulder.
11) Gandham-This means fragrance the idol of ganesha by Perfume (Attar, Ettar) is anoint.
12) Aksataam-Offering of Grains (Wheat , Rice) is performed at this stage.

13) Pushpam-Pushpa means flower. Varieties of fresh, assorted flowers and flower garlands are offered. The red hibiscus is His preferred flower.
14) Dhoopam-The incense sticks are lighted which spreads delicate scent, purifying the atmosphere all around.
15) Deepam-Diyas (Lamps are lit where its wicks are immersed in ghee) are lighted.16) Naivedyam-Lord Ganesh is offered Sweets and seasonal Fruits. His favourite sweets are the Modaka (Basen, Motichoor Laddu)
16) Tamboolam-Paan, a betel leaf is rolled with refreshing mints and betel nut, then dipped in rose water and sprinkled with dry coconut strands is offered.
